<p> </p> <p>This research aims to determine: 1) the ability to write anecdotal texts for class X SMA Negeri 1 Malingping students using learning media in the form of the Canva application; 2) the ability to write anecdotal texts for class X SMA Negeri 1 Malingping students using learning media in the form of the PixelLab application. This research was conducted using the experimental method and class X students for the 2023/2024 academic year as the population. The sample technique uses random sampling. The samples taken were class X E-6 and class X E-10 with a total of 74 students. The results of post-test calculations using the Canva application obtained Mean (????̅) = 81.24, Median (Me) = 80.00, Variance = 76,088 and standard deviation = 8,723. Meanwhile for the control class post-test scores used PixelLab application, namely, Mean (????̅) = 67.69, Median = 68.00, Variance = 92.961 and standard deviation = 9.642. Based on the data above, it can be said that learning media in the form of the Canva application is considered good, while learning media in the form of the PixelLab application is considered adequate. From the results of the data above, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of the use of learning media in the form of the Canva application on the ability to write anecdotal texts in class X SMA Negeri 1 Malingping students.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>Anih Novianti

<p><em>This research aims to analyze the meanings within the poetry collection “Memo Kemanusiaan” by Akhmad Sekhu using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. The focus of the analysis is on the denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings present in these poems, as well as how these findings can be applied as teaching materials for the Indonesian language and literature at the high school level. Barthes’ semiotic approach is employed to uncover the hidden meanings behind the signs and symbols used in the poetry. The selected poems encompass themes such as the COVID-19 pandemic, love for the homeland, and social life. The results of the study indicate that the poems in “Memo Kemanusiaan” contain numerous connotative and mythological meanings that illustrate various values of life, struggle, and humanity. For instance, in the poem titled “Kartini Surat-suratmu Masih Tetap Tersirat,” the denotative meaning portrays the struggle of an individual symbolized by “Kartini,” a woman who fought for independence through her dedication. In contrast, the connotative meaning of this poem represents a symbol of struggle and sacrifice by a woman for the independence of the nation and for the freedom of all women. The mythological meaning embedded in this poem conveys the notion that fighting for independence is the right and duty of all humanity. The research also finds that these poems can serve as effective teaching materials for analyzing meaning in language and literature classes, aligning with the independent curriculum. Semiotic analysis assists students in understanding the implied meanings in poetry and developing critical thinking skills regarding literary texts. This study contributes to the development of teaching methods for the Indonesian language and literature in high schools and highlights the importance of semiotic analysis in gaining a deeper understanding of literary works.</em></p>Rosyanti Rosyanti

<p>The background of the problem in this research is to describe social values in the form of the value of love, the value of responsibility and the value of harmony in life and Cultural Values in the form of cultural values in the relationship between humans and God, cultural values in the relationship between humans and society, cultural values in human relationships with other people, cultural values in human relationships with themselves, cultural values in human relationships with God in films, and their use in studying literature in high school. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. Meanwhile, the data source used in this research is a film entitled Air Mata Di Ujung Sajadah. From the source film there is 1 hour 45 minutes. Because by analyzing the social values and cultural values in the film it is in accordance with the literature learning material in high school. <p><em>This research aims to describe the cultural values and heroic values in the forgotten historical romance book by Hendri F. Isnaeni and Apid to be used as TPACK-based Indonesian language learning material in high school. This research uses a qualitative descriptive type or approach, literature study methods and content analysis techniques. The steps used by researchers in collecting data are as follows: (1) outline the parts that are considered important, (2) select the data, (3) provide a description, (4) draw conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis of forty-eight quotations in the book Romusa's forgotten history by Hendri F. Isnaeni and Apid, the following conclusion was obtained: the cultural value of human relations with God which is described as piety, love of prayer, and surrender to God is not found in history books the. Human relationships with other humans are described by helping each other in 7 quotes and sincerity in 1 quote. The relationship between humans and nature is described by using the environment with 5 quotes and loving the environment with 1 quote. The human relationship with oneself is described with 3 quotes of honesty, 2 quotes of persistence, and 1 quote of self-determination. The value of heroism includes the value of courage which is described by the strength that exists in each person's soul in 1 quote, fighting for something in 5 quotes, and being brave in 1 quote. The value of optimism is described by 5 quotes about thinking patterns, 5 quotes about being realistic in seeing a problem, and 3 quotes about having hope. The value of never giving up is described seriously in 1 quote and strong determination in 5 quotes. The value of solidarity is described by loyal friends who are not available, and helping people in need in 1 quote. The value of being willing to sacrifice is described with sincerity in 1 quote. The forty-eight quotes in the book Romusa's forgotten history by Hendri F. Isnaeni and Apid can be used as TPACK-based Indonesian language learning material in high school. <p> </p> <p><em>This study aims to describe the moral and social values in the novel “Selamat Tinggal”by Tere Liye and its utilization as a TPACK-based Indonesian literature teaching material in high school. </em><em>This research was conducted based on a qualitative approach with a descriptive method that focuses on content analysis. The data and data sources in this study are in the form of texts, such as: words, pharases, sentences and conversations related to moral and social values. The instrument used in this study was the researcher himself with a theory validation test. Based on the description of the results of the analysis of the novel “Selamat Tinggal”by Tere Liye, it contains moral and social values, namely that by remembering god and carrying out his commandments, the heart can become calm and make life peaceful and get goodness. </em><em>This research is recommended to be considered as a learning material for Indonesian language and literature to improve students’ ability to understand moral and social values in literary works, especially novels, and can improve literature teaching in schools.</em></p> <p><em> </em></p> <p> </p>Melisa Melisa

<p><em>This research was conducted based on the problem of the low skills in writing anecdotal texts among high school students, especially in terms of analyzing and compiling social phenomena into critical and humorous anecdotal texts.</em> <em>This research aims to determine the difference in the effect of writing skills on students who learn using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and students who use the Discovery Learning learning model.</em> <em>The method in this research uses a quantitative approach. The population and sample in this research were class The instrument used in this research was anecdotal text writing skills test.</em> <em>The test used is a written test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that there was a difference in the influence of anecdotal text writing skills between students who studied using the Problem Based Learning model and students who studied using the Discovery Learning model.</em> <em>The anecdotal text writing skills of students who learn using the Problem Based Learning model are better than students who learn using the Discovery Learning model.</em> <em>This can be seen from the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test, which shows significant results.</em> <em>Therefore, it can be stated that there is a significant difference in improvement in the anecdotal text writing skills of high school students who are taught using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model.</em></p>Sifa Ma’riffatu Zaein

<p><em>The influence of short film media on the Paniradiya Kaistimewan YouTube channel on the short story writing skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Maingping. This study aims to determine the influence of short film media on class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Malingping. This study was conducted based on the problem of low short story writing skills in high school students which is characterized by students having difficulty writing short stories. This study aims to determine the difference in the influence of writing skills of students who learn using short film media with students who use digital image media. The method in this study uses the Quantitative method. The population and sample in this study were class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Malingping as many as 2 classes selected randomly or Random Sampling. The instrument used in this study was a short story writing ability test. The test used was a question-type test. Based on the results of the data analysis, the results of this study concluded: There is a difference in the influence of the ability to write news texts of students who learn using short film media with students who learn using digital image media. The ability to write short stories of students who receive short film learning is better than students who learn using digital image media. This can be seen from the results of the hypothesis test, namely by using the Independent Samples Test which was obtained from a sig value of 0.021 <0.05, meaning that the variance between groups is not the same. <p><em>Analysis of expressive and directive speech acts in the film "Guru-Guru Gokil" by Sammaria Simanjuntak and their use as teaching materials in high school. Indonesian and Regional Literature Language Education Study Program, Undergraduate Program (S1) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mathla'ul Anwar University, Banten. This research aims to analyze expressive and directive speech acts in the film "Guru-Guru Gokil" by Sammaria Simanjuntak and explore their use as teaching materials at the Senior High School (SMA) level. Expressive speech acts refer to statements that reflect the speaker's feelings or emotions, while directive speech acts involve actions that influence the listener's behavior or response. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method, data collection techniques using listening techniques, data transcripts, note taking steps, analysis steps. The total data that the author has obtained is 61 data, expressive speech acts, namely 30 utterances consisting of praising 8 utterances, saying thank you 8 utterances, saying sorry 7 utterances, congratulating 2 utterances, saying hello 4 utterances, and blaming 1 utterance. 31 directive speech acts consisting of commanding 20 utterances, ordering 1 utterance, requesting 5 utterances, and giving advice 5 utterances. This research aims to determine the difference in the influence of the writing ability of students who learn using the 3M technique and students who use the Outline technique. The method in this research uses quantitative methods. The population and sample in this research were class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Cijaku in 2 classes selected randomly or Random Sampling. The instrument used in this research was a news text writing ability test. The test used is a question type test. Based on the results of data analysis, the results of this research concluded: There is a difference in the influence of the ability to write news texts on students who learn using the 3M technique and students who learn using the Outline technique. The ability to write news texts for students who learn the 3M technique is better than students who learn using the Outline technique. <p><sup>This research aims to describe the form of assertive speech on the iNEWS YouTube show of the 2024 vice presidential election candidate debate as a learning material in high school. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data source used in this study is iNEWS YouTube shows. The data collection technique uses the free viewing technique and the note-taking technique. The data analysis technique in this study uses descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, in the first debate and the two vice presidential candidates for the 2024 election, 96 forms of assertive speech were produced, 63 speeches were made in the first debate of the vice presidential candidate, divided into 18 assertive speech acts, 9 assertive speech acts proposing, 5 assertive speech acts boasting, 12 assertive speech acts complaining, 8 assertive speech acts expressing opinions, and 11 acts of assertive speech reported. There were 33 speeches on the broadcast of the debate of the two vice presidential candidates, also divided into 5 acts of assertive speech stating, 3 acts of assertive speech proposing, 8 acts of assertive speech boasting, 4 acts of assertive speech complaining, 4 acts of assertive speech expressing opinions, and 9 acts of assertive speech reporting. From this analysis, it can be concluded that in this study, assertive speech acts stated and reported more were found, namely assertive, stated that there were 23 data, and assertive, reported, there were 20 data.
