ANALISIS NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKRTER DAN GAYA BAHASA PADA KUMPULAN PUISI ”MENAPAK JALAN PENUH MAKNA” KARYA MUSLIHAT SEBAGAI BAHAN AJAR SASTRA DI SMA

Abstract

This study aims to describe character education values and figures of speech in Muslihat’s poetry collection Menapak Jalan Penuh Makna and to explain its use as literature teaching material for senior high school. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data source is the collection Menapak Jalan Penuh Makna, which consists of 45 poems. The data comprise words, phrases, lines, and stanzas containing character values and figures of speech. Data were collected through literature review, documentation, repeated reading, and note-taking. Data analysis involved data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate ten character education values: religiosity, honesty, responsibility, discipline, hard work, social care, environmental care, respect and politeness, fairness, and cooperation. The figures of speech identified include metaphor, personification, hyperbole, repetition, and simile. These devices strengthen meaning, create imagery, and emphasize character-related messages. The findings may be used as literature teaching material through reading, identifying, interpreting, and discussing poems, as well as developing student worksheets
